În California nu vor mai putea fi comercializate meniurile care conţin jucării şi care nu întrunesc anumite cerinţe in ceea ce priveşte conţinutul caloric, de grăsimi şi sodiu.
Oficialii din Santa Clara, Silicon Valley, au votat intrarea in vigoare a acestei restricţii, pentru a lupta cu epidemia de obezitate, încurajată de marile restaurante sau fast-fooduri prin includerea jucăriilor in meniu, relateaza The Telegraph, citat de ziare.com.
„Această ordonanţă opreşte restaurantele să se folosească de iubirea copiilor pentru jucării, pentru a-şi vinde meniurile cu un conţinut mare de calorii, de grăsimi şi sodiu”, a declarat un oficial. Decizia va intra în vigoare în 90 de zile.
